THE ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL SOCIETIES IN EAST AFRICA (APSEA) WANTS DIALOGUE BROADENED TO SOLVE CHALLENGES FACING KENYA
The Association of Professional Societies in East Africa (APSEA) has applauded the decision by President Dr. William Ruto and Opposition Leader Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga to engage in dialogue to save our beloved country.
APSEA is advocating for the bi-partisan approach that has been agreed upon to be broadened beyond just electoral justice reforms to tackle all the key challenges facing Kenya, once and for all.
Among the key stakeholders that APSEA wants to be involved and included in the dialogue include professionals, academia, politicians, religious leaders and the youth so as to find lasting solutions to challenges facing the over 50 million Kenyans.
The key issues APSEA wants to be included in the discussion are;
- High cost of living.
- Poverty and inequality.
- Unemployment and under-employment.
- Electoral justice.
- Increase county governments allocation to over Khs 700 billion.
- Reduce CASs appointments to 23 as recommended by PSC.
